CARE CENTER ASSOCIATE (ODENTON, MD)

the Care Center Associate is an entry-level position that is responsible for diversified administrative duties and front end clinical operations activities which may include; registration (check-in/out), scheduling, cashiering, and charge entry. The incumbent interacts with patients, families, clinicians, and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner, while placing an emphasis on adhering to high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
1. Greet families, patients, and visitors in a positive and professional manner.
2. Promptly answer and appropriately direct phone calls, emails, and fax messages; retrieve and direct voice messages in a timely way to the appropriate department and person. Receive and promptly deliver mail items to the appropriate person.
3. Perform various clerical functions to include the assembly of registration packets.
4. Support Care Center operational efficiency through timely and accurate data entry into various systems (i.e., AS400, IAM, etc.)
5. Make confirmation reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
6. With knowledge and understanding of the basic business requirements of the Department, serve as a liaison between the Department, the Care Center, the CMO and customers and may act as a back-up for other Care Center staff.
7. Access the scheduling system to assist with redirecting clients to the appropriate Kennedy Krieger Institute department, clinic, or provider, etc.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required.
+ Associates degree in human services related field or healthcare administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Related experience coordinating and operating patient services in a medical office or hospital preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
