Principal Solutions Architect

Description1901 Group at Leidos currently has an opening for Principal Solutions Architect to support a DOD customer.
This position is responsible working with the customer to generate, identify, analyze, recommend, and plan the introduction of new innovations, leveraging emerging technologies and processes that enhance cybersecurity, drive down total cost, and enhance the user experience (UX) and enterprise posture through rapid, incremental, and measurable improvements while mitigating risks.
Primary Responsibilitieso Identify and plan new technical solutions.
o Work with customer stakeholders across the enterprise to identify opportunities for innovationso Gather requirements and analyze users' business process needs to determine best functional and cross-functional solutionso Identify and support facilitation of efficient and cost-effective solutions and analyze system specifications to meet business requirementso Perform market research and cost planning to establish total cost of ownership and return on investment.
o Create detailed project plans that account for all phases of implementation.
o Develop project charters that define scope, objectives, and requirements.
o Develop functional requirement specifications for identified solutions, which describe the system functions, data inputs, information outputs, processes, and human interactions to meet the solution requirements.
o Develop system requirement specifications for identified solutions, which describe the solutions' basic structure and organization to meet the solution requirements, including the functional and non-functional requirements.
o Both develop and support IT change management processes and facilitate engineering review and change control boardso Perform feasibility analysis, market analysis efforts, and develop comparison matrices to determine most effective solutions to meet requirements.
o Assess and develop resource plans and schedules.
o Lead a team of cross functional technical resources and business and product specialists.
Basic Qualificationso Bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant work experience or Masters with less than 8 years of relevant work experience in a related field.
Additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
o Excellent project management skillso Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholderso Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise IT solutions and implementationso Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, primarily Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)o US Citizeno Able to commute to the customer site in Ft.
Meade MD when requiredo Hold a current DoD secret clearance or able to obtain one.
o Active Security
Certification.
Preferred QualificationsList additional skills and experience that is nice to have but not required.
o Full understanding of concepts, principles, and industry practiceso Has hands-on IT operations and engineering experienceo ITIL v4 certificationo PMP CertificationPay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.
00 - $196,225.
